This is the second time I’m grilling this dish, and I think wings are going to be my favorite thing to be grilling this summer. Had to snap this shot to show you how they’re coming along under my care, almost ready to come off.

These are dry rub, and I use this spice rub from Puckett’s, specifically the Chicken/grill rub. Works pretty well, gives some heat but most of all that savory, salty flavor. When that hits the oil, makes you feel like you found a hole in the wall place while on an urban walkabout.

If I grill more stuff, I’ll definitely share them with you as the season goes on.

Something I did for one of the people over at the ElitePVE/Mobius group; it was her birthday and I figured I’d finish up an old piece from January into a short comic.

The sassy and punny CMDR Taranava graces us with a worthwhile Anaconda joke. In the background is CMDR DEAMONSRUN9393, who is very grounded with anime tropes; hence his “nosebleed” reaction to Taranava perched on the Anaconda.

Decided to snap my breakfast this morning, as I don’t think I’ve shared you guys how my Mom’s blueberry goop syrup looks on pancakes. Something like this.

Not sure of the exact ingredients, but frozen blueberries are used. I think in this case a little bit of blackberries were used as well. Then some sugar was added for the final effect. Definitely better than the sweet butter syrup in my opinion.

Not only is this an Eateries, I actually helped make this! Snazzy, custom flavored Red Baron pizza, the triple cheese brick oven variant. Fresh bell peppers, mushrooms and onions top this delectable dish, along with a tiny bit of shavings of habanero hot peppers for extra spice. Baked this to perfection on a pizza stone.

Why am I baking a pizza in the middle of the night? Family just came off the road from being out all day, and decided that pizza would be the best option instead of going hungry or cooking something complicated.

Too bad I missed the other stuff I cooked July 4th. Oops.

When I started to get my feet wet on the Internet, not all of it went well. Quite the opposite. I was quite a newb, and my homeschooling background coupled with strict parents didn’t help. Then add that I wasn’t on it enough to get the hang of things. It was a very bad combination.

I talked to very few people online. But there was one person I was in correspondence with that I had met over an Atlantis fanfic. As time went on they introduced me to a site by the name of deviantART. I signed up in 2004 after hearing them mention they were on it, and slowly started to delve into what it had to offer. I do remember I had posted a few things but because of my social ineptness mixed with poor drawing skills, pieces were lackluster at best. I didn’t even have a proper scanner at the time.

Yesterday artist raikoart jumped on board the #drawthisinyourstyle challenge. Basically you draw a given character in your own style when they use the hashtag. As people loved his sci-fi secret agent Tess, raikoart decided to call out and see who’d be up to the challenger with her:

I answered the call and did Tess as best as I could, in my most common styles. I mostly was light-hearted in my approach, even referencing a mischievous Orthin from Stars in Shadow hiding from Tess in the webcomic panel, having stolen a bunch of Snickers (another running joke with the character).

Author’s Note: This article was written two weeks after this event took place in mid-December of 2016. After my situation in 2017, it got lost and neglected. When I restarted content earlier this year, a chain of events had taken place with the venue the previous season (2017), and I highly debated even posting my experience due to those events. Nevertheless, I’ll share as you can always count on me to. This is about my trip to the con at the time, not the drama and incidents that happened afterwards. It’s neither biased or reflects what I currently think of the venue.

I’ve done minor edits on this article to bring it current (specifically its ending), but it remains virtually unchanged from its 2016 version.

It’s been about seven years since I went to an anime convention of any sort. Animazement 2009 being my last stint of cosplay, hanging out at a convention and going to someplace of that sort with “friends”. It’s not something I really care to talk about, always telling myself that I’ll go one day and I’ll have the right people around me.
