I don’t have artwork to offer this St. Patricks day, so please do enjoy this video of Megan giving you Irish cheer instead. Stay safe out there!
The Extraordinary, Not-so-Spoopy but Cool Witch – User_892173
This is a free gift I did for r/user_892173 on Reddit, as she wanted to be drawn as a “spoopy witch”. Despite me being able to draw creepy stuff, my mind didn’t quite cooperate with this one, going into the direction of anime and fantasy, maybe even a splash of Touhou. This was the final result; at least she thought it was cute.
Eateries – Sticky Rice Dry Rub Wings
When I decided to grab food before heading back home today, Sticky Rice immediately came to mind. So I stopped in for this lovely dish, dry rub wings.
I’ve had this dish a few times before, the first being at the Knox Asia Festival in 2017. The Sticky Rice peeps had set up a booth with a few different types of chicken, and this was rubbed with some spices and some quite hot pepper. It was very oily, perfectly fried and trumped any KFC that may have come my way.
Do stop into them and try this dish, it’s worth the $8. Maybe one day I’ll have a whole-blown meal from them when time allows.
Commission – Power Washing Squirrel
This was a funny and interesting commission I took from u/mcockerham1975, who wanted “a squirrel with a power wand.” Certainly odd but was hilarious to bring to life. I think I’m getting a bit better with my animals.
Inktober Color “Flowing” – Request
This is one of a series of requests that I got from Instagram user Starmay79, who was wanting to see my Nora Inktober pieces colored. There’s two more left in the series, so I’m halfway there at least.
Steampunk Kendall
This requires a small bit of a story, but I was recently inspired to do my higher-detailed style on an art piece that came to mind.
Several years ago at Animazement 2009, I had ran into someone who was donning a cosplay I had made for a friend. This someone and I hung out for a bit, before I parted ways to head back home that day. What they didn’t know at the time was that I had a bad day, and hanging out with a familiar face + getting to see a cosplay I worked on in use made my day.
Since then, I’ve been wanting to draw said person as a sort of thank-you, but never thought I’d be able to pull it off properly. I had tried on paper a few times in the first couple years, and kind of forgot about it once I hit ETSU. Going down memory lane again I realized that it was better late than never, especially since people were actually commissioning me for art.
So thank you, Kendall. You left a positive memory with me that stuck almost 10 years later. I don’t know where you are now to get ahold of you, but maybe you’ll run across this in the future one of these days.

On an artist’s note, I’m real happy with how this piece turned out. I did this completely with my Intuos, which was a shocker to me; usually I only get these near-realistic proportions when drawing with my Cintiq. So this was a pause and gawk going, “Huh, I pulled it off.”
Dawnstar Development – Chat Box Design
I have not really been working on Dawnstar since fall, but when I do work on the dev portions, I tend to make large strides in bursts. This is no different.
After much feedback from some of the Steam Greenlighters, I was able to use Ren’py’s new tools to make a custom chat box. In this instance, I went with a retro-looking “computron” frame for the box. Gave the name it’s own spot on the top, and everything can flow freely on the bottom, while leaving room for the characters!
What do you guys think? Do you prefer this over the original black gradient? Let me know in the comments below.
Commission – Valentines (Thorbeck15)
This was a nice piece I got to do for u/thorbeck15, with him and his girlfriend in their living room for Valentines. They absolutely loved it and it was fun to work on as well! Before I started on this, I had no idea what Spot-it was; sue homeschool life for me.
Gift Art – New England Hauntings
This was an art piece that was supposed to get done near Christmas, but got delayed for various reasons. However, I’ve had doodled a connection I knew back in 2017, specifically drawing her with attire from the Janus Fairytale setting. I took this a step further and wanted to do a “mystery” piece to give as a gift for the holidays. Despite being late, I finally got this done either rate!
I was real happy with the background and the lighting, it’s been a bit since I did something that was foreboding but not directly spooky.
You can check out said connection, who’s name is Sandra Shuman! She does art coaching stuff and does a lot of interesting things. Do check her out here.

CMDR Taranava – Distant Worlds 2 Expedition Postcard
I’ve been struggling with this for a few months, but finally found the motivation and the second wind to finish it how I’d like. More of CMDR Taranava and her awesome goodness; here, she poses with the mascot for the Fuel Rats, and online Elite: Dangerous community figurehead ObsidianAnt. With some recent events that came up, I found it no better time than now to get this done.
This was specifically done for the peeps on the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition, as most of those guys are explorers and suffer a lot when nonsense gankers wreck the party for everyone. Us Mobius peeps wish you the best on your massive journey, and always welcome you guys to play in our group as a safe haven if you need.

EDIT: This apparently got a little bigger than I thought it would! The head admin thought it was great enough to post to their official Twitter page.
