Inktober 2019 – #12 Dragon
This was a bit tricky for me, but I decided to try to do a more traditional DnD kind of dragon. I think a goal next year would to be practicing drawing more animals, it would seem!
Inktober 2019 – #11 Snow
For Snow, I had the idea of drawing a female Cossack trudging through the snow. Big hat and all. It’s not *too* far off from drawing my Notikans, so this came quite naturally.
Inktober 2019 – #10 Pattern
This was actually a bit tricky to come up with an idea, but I was drawing wayc’s story concepts at the time; I got the brilliant idea to show the pattern of Ki’voosh’s dress for the prompt.
So here it is! A lot of people really liked the texture, and it probably would look interesting if it got printed in real life, admittedly.
Inktober 2019 – #9 Swing
For Swing, the first thing that came to mind was an old playset that we had when I was little. It was a hand-me-down, and had two plastic swings on small-grade chain that one could sit on. I don’t quite remember the exact design, but what I depicted was the best I remembered it. Except for a homemade swing a few years after, we never really had any more such things afterwards.
Inktober 2019 – #8 Frail
For Frail, the first thing that came to mind was the baby cowbird I raised in 2008. The thing was real small and weak, and I became quite attached to it as it grew. It felt odd because at the time the pets we had never really wanted to be around me, and this hatchling would stay close and always be looking at me. So I think it the theme.
Inktober 2019 – #7 Enchanted
This wasn’t too hard for me to come up with the concept for, and will be one of the ones I’ll go ahead and color. But this little pot full of mushrooms and a little lamp was the idea I had for the enchanted prompt.
Inktober 2019 – #6 Husky
I think this is the first time I drew any sort of dog in awhile, and it actually came out properly. Drawing from observation does wonders.
Much fluff, very husky. Wow.
Inktober 2019 – #5 Build
For today’s prompt, this video is what immediately prompted me to do this. I completely related to one-armed robots welding on an assembly line, and while it was pretty minimalistic, visualized said scene. Makes me wonder about when the remastered Halo would come out. Hmm…
Inktober 2019 – #4 Freeze
This was one of my most favorite out of the entire Inktober prompts this year, Freeze! This was very easy to come up a concept with, and this was pretty much the pose I had in my head when I saw the name. One of my online buddies thought that a “buddy cop” comic or story in this style would be fitting; maybe I might pursue that down the line.
Inktober 2019 – #3 Bait
“Crybaby is away!”
When Bait was the prompt, all that came to mind was that famous scene in Firefly where Malcolm dumped the decoy beacon to fool the pursuing military to follow. This is my own version of a decoy that a privateer might use in my settings, a bit more rough and run-down instead of sleek military tech.
