Ellowwood Keepers – Art Process Video
Took a bit, but I finally got the art process video done for the Ellowwod Keepers piece. Enjoy!

For Inktober’s #5 Chicken, I kind of copped out on it. But, chicken wings are tasty, especially when freshly pulled off the grill. So in this case, drew from subject matter I knew and liked instead of going for something new.
This was in the works since last fall actually, but I only got around to getting it done within the past few days. But I’ve had this idea of taking a girl from each faction on Talmeron, and sticking them together as if they were getting ready for a harvest festival. This was the end result!

For Inktober’s #3 entry of Roasted, I made a sci-fi flamethrower. Features include displayed ammo on top, slanted rear grip handle, shielded front handle and emergency canister extinguisher, along with quick fuel disconnect.
When designing this, I specifically tried to approach it with the mentality that it would be deployed for use in a space combat environment. Don’t know if any of that carried across.
I decided to start numbering the single-panel comics I’ve been doing about CMDR Taranava. I got feedback for two different versions, but I’m sticking with the non-frame version for now.
This came to mind as I was inspired a bit by @honouri’s stuff, and just had the idea of plopping the character on the floor playing with an SRV. This was the result.
Things can be slow at the Duchess’ HQ, I guess.
Second entry for Inktober, Tranquil! This is what immediately came to mind when doing it, so I just rolled with Heather cuddling her little pet raptor, Pipp.
My first entry into Inktober, Poisonous! I know it seems like it’s just a pitcher plant (and those drown their prey rather than poison them), but I thought it’d be a good concept. So I made a poisonous one with dangerous toxins wafting out of it, along with some poisonous berries!
I’ve been drawing for quite a long time. I sadly can’t say I’ve been drawing for most of my entire life, but it’s safe to say I’ve been drawing for 1/3rd if not more of it.
As described in my previous story about deviantART, my art skills didn’t really take off until I had access to the platform. A couple of years before that I had taken a short three-week special course at Walters State in a summer drawing class. That helped up my skills a whole bunch over my pre-teen drawings. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible, either.
Something I threw together for a Facebook friend, as today is their birthday. Originally it was just going to be the cake, but while on a tangent I decided to just draw the new Doctor in a more retro outfit. I’ve never really watched or seen the new Doctor Who series after Matt Smith, and this is how I envisioned the new Doctor to be in a way. A sort of clean and trim Victorian kind of style. I did retain a version of her jacket, though.
