We’ve Come to Get You – Art Process

I think this was my magna opus piece for 2020. Did this out one evening in fall, and had “MAGIC” on loop while I finished it. I partially had this prompted from something over at r/ICanDrawThat, but it evolved into this sort of positive, hopeful thing that someone was there for you. So please enjoy.

You can view this piece here!

Nina, Bernie & Mr. Computer

This is fanart for a series of old, educational videos from the 90s; dubbed the Assistant Professor: Trip to the Inner/Outer Planets. I recently rediscovered these through a listing on eBay, which was the old VHS of the outer Planets episode.
.

From a comment of a friend, I actually found that the original company was around, and I reached out to them about the show. A guy wrote back stating his daughter voiced the Nina character, and the head animator of the show voiced the computer. It was an interesting exchange, never thinking I’d even talk to the people behind it.
.

I did this little fanart as appreciation in my response back. I never heard back from them, so I hope you guys enjoy the effort of this partial lost show. I’ve linked an Amazon link here of the listing to help you track it down if you like.

Archives: Overwatch Montages – September 2016

I recently found these bunch of clips during my New Years cleanup a few weeks ago. These feature a few of my online friends, including my brother and my art buddy. A couple of these you might’ve seen on my other gaming channel when I had started it up; otherwise these should all be unseen stuff as they were archived at the end of that year, and never found back.

These clips encompass my gameplay from the beginning of September, till the first week of October of 2016.

Goodbye, Pier 1

Goodbye, Pier 1

I only found out today that Pier 1 closed all their physical locations. This hit me quite hard; I know I didn’t really purchase stuff from them, but it was a place I loved to stroll, explore and just basically browse. It was one of the top 5 places I’d go to when back at ETSU, short of Starbucks, the mall and and Books A Million.

As a matter of fact, Pier 1 in Johnson City was in the same plaza. I’d just park one spot and walk to both.

Usually I’d go there Saturday evenings, when I got bored at home or wanted to stretch my legs. Sometimes on a Sunday; but usually Saturday. I was frequenting the store almost every week in 2012, especially after I moved back to ETSU in the fall.

Reddit WritingPrompts – Landing at the Sky Temple Ruins

Reddit WritingPrompts – Landing at the Sky Temple Ruins

While I was on my writing streak last summer, this was one prompt I had written a response to. I find that I like to “go against” the grain of most of the responses, if that’s a thing. A lot of people on this thread were “whoops, I got left here” or “I was serving a prison sentence here”. The architecture reminded me a lot of South Asian, so I tried to put that into a spin of someone visiting. A bit brief and rough, but I liked it.

Done in July 24, 2020.

Note: My writing for Reddit writing prompts is different for brevity. While this is a good example of my writing, I often omit backstory and several details to create a concise post. Please look at my other works if you’re looking for my more regular style of writing.

“How far are we out?”

“Not too far, we will be onsite in a minute.”

Va’shoo unsteadily fingered her pulse rifle. Their lance had been sent to bodyguard the Monarch’s “Paladin” on a personal matter. She had sent her and several of her sisters with this task. The young man differed from both their kind and hers; the olive skin and dark hair. He had been recovered in deep space two years ago, and his origins were unknown.

DnD Commission – u/TheKingTortoise

This was a commission I did for u/TheKingTortoise, of him and his brother’s DnD characters (half-elf barbarian, dwarf fighter). They have a group of goblins that go around with him, sort of like kids to my understanding. This was real fun to do, and glad to have made a Christmas gift for someone’s holiday.

Feel free to reach out to me for a commission if you fancy something like this yourself!

Your Ride is Ready for You

I put this together this week. I’ve been wanting to show how my Notikan race functions in a more normal environment, rather than “just standing up and being popey”, to quote an online buddy. This was a result of that, showing one greeting a pilot to his vehicle, having the role of a technician or sorts.

Thanks to @elucidator_arts for the figure lineart.

Vigilance Reboot – WIP NanoWrimo Cover

For 2020’s NanoWrimo reboot, I decided to reboot my old Vigilance series, which is the first story I had ever made the 50K requirement for. I wanted a nice thumb to convey what I was going for when someone visited the page, so I accomplished that, at least!

Here you have the protagonist’s two love interests, along with a shot of the aerial battleship the story revolves around. And since this takes place in the Bermuda Triangle, beach and ocean was appropriate.

If and when I do publish, it’ll have a more professionally done cover. Just something to give a visual representation as I work on it in the meantime.

Eateries – Spicy McNuggets

During one night at someone’s wedding, I got fed up with the lack of food and stepped out to get something to eat. This was the result.

I had no idea that spicy McNuggets was a thing, but it apparently is! We’ll see how long they last.

Verdict? 6 out of 10. Spicy and ranch go hand in hand. Still the same mush in the middle. Unfortunately as fattening and oily as they are, a Wendy’s Spicy Nugget will still blow this out of the water with taste alone.

But for a late night budget snack? This isn’t bad at all. 20 nuggets go a long way.
