The Grotto

This piece was a big jump for me, because I pumped it out in one evening on my newly owned Cintiq tablet. I was so happy with how it turned out, though looking back at it I have a long ways to go to translate my better skills to the digital medium.

I don’t know where I quite got the idea for this, but the idea came from watching some recent Youtube videos from the Youtuber known as Markiplier. Specifically his playthroughs for the game Mad Father and Witch’s House. I guess that rubbed off from somewhere.

Disney/Touhou Crossover – Elsa as Eirin Yakugoro

This was an interesting combo to say the least. I went more for physical appearance that matched rather than character traits (mainly the white/blond hair and braid). Plus it was fun to give Elsa a bow. Overall this was a nice piece to work on over the summer.

Disney/Touhou Crossover – Madellaine as Minoriko Aki

This crossover was a bit left field, but I realized how much Madellaine looked like Minoriko. A harvest girl was strangely fitting. We did deviate from the original outfit and gave her shoes and stockings, along with longer, fuller skirt.

New Desk Friend

While I’m getting into the hang of recording my Dawnstar lines, I grabbed this from Walmart the other day. He was pretty cheap (which is one reason I picked it up), and I could certainly use some more desk toys to decorate my workspace as I work here most of the time.

So I had some fun with him today, letting him pose with some of my recording gear on the desk. I think he’ll fit in right at home. No name as yet, though. Any suggestions?

Aunt Maddie and the Monster

This was the first collaborative piece I did between two different artists, with me being the art director. But I tied together Christina Weinman’s drawing talent, along with the coloring skills of the deviant known as FailTaco. This was the result; a prelude image to something I’m working on known as the “Janus Fairytale Project”. Keep an eye out, I will be posting more about this project!

Mass Effect + Arpeggio of Blue Steel = This

What happens when you take the N7 Eagle pistol from Mass Effect 3 and slap it into Iona’s hand? This. Something I drummed up while playing around in MMD one night.

From what I can tell, this is actually the official model used in the anime, ported for use in MMD. Interesting.

Hard Drive Stash

Doing some spring cleaning, and I thought I’d show you my hard drive stash before I give them to a better home. Most of these are parts I collected when I was at ETSU, and most of them don’t matter anymore as I don’t have cases. I’ve about only kept what’s important to me, so all these extra drives are getting listed on Craigslist for extra cash.

So bye, you guys. You’ve been pretty good to me.

Lone Tree on a Hill

I’ve passed this tree numerous times on the way home from work, but have never stopped to take a proper picture. It always looks so lone and ominous, especially during the afternoons when heading back in. So I just simply decided to grab it one day, no matter how poor the quality is.

This is the result. Looks like a pretty good landmark, doesn’t it?
