marios – Janeil Harricharan

marios

In the rare instance, one of my prompts actually got responded in a Prompt Me post. In this scenario, I told them to write about my two clerics, and to play around with their accents. I didn’t specify which, and they ended up swapping it on the characters. They did a pretty snazzy job, I think!

Done on September 4, 2020.

This piece of writing is not my own, and belongs to the original poster.

OP is now deleted, but you can still access their original post.

I’m not sure anyone knows how much your ass starts to hurt after riding a horse for five hours straight. To say I was lost was a massive understatement. At this rate, the village is as good as ashes right now. I had to get off and try and figure out where in the wide world I was.

So I’ve not really told or shared my adventures that I’ve been playing with Pathfinder, but I recently started playing The Fally of Plaguestone, an official 2e module that my DM’s friend decided to run. I decided to use the character I made after Yorina’s mom, which clashes but is hilarious with everyone else’s characters. I’m frequently called “The Pope” (gee, I wonder why?) and kind of had a bit of bad luck with some bad rolls. Otherwise, still in one piece and having fun so far.

So the last game we had a big brawl in a bar this evening, and me and my friend decided to clobber a drunk farmer who was starting trouble. The farmer took a chair, called Marios a little lady and whacked Astrian over the head with it. In return, we both whacked him unconscious, before finding out our dwarven host died from poisoning. The DM’s friend mentioned that the bard was playing “banjo music” during this fight, and even requested that I draw this into the final piece. So I obliged and added him. As much as I don’t like things from where I live, I do think this song is extremely fitting to the scene, and can fully imagine it playing while the brawl plays.

What happens next? We’ll find out. It looks like it’ll be quite awhile, though.

This is a joke that I decided to visualize into a comic. Back when recording lines for Dawnstar in 2011, Sophia’s voice actor Megan Swecker came up with the colloquialism of “snuggling the ruins”. While years have passed by, we jab the joke at each other occasionally and it still holds merit with the character, I would think.

So consider this partially canon, that Sophia loves to hug up her ruins. Who knows?
