eBooks

Hi everyone,

Finally wrapped up the production early this morning! You are now free to listen to the drama to your heart’s content. Go ahead and visit the project page below.

Likewise, if your heart so desires to tote this MP3 around with you for your phone when you’re bundled in for the evening, you may download a high-quality, 320kbps version of the drama by signing up to my mailing list! Not only will you receive the MP3, you’ll also get a special-edited eBook edition of my short horror novella, The Haunting of Rotherwood as well.

After a long and stressful battle with attempting to get this edited and the delays with no results, I finally am at a point that I believe that I’m happy with it after doing what I should’ve done in the first place, edit it myself. With great joy I’m pleased to announce that The Haunting of Rotherwood was released onto Amazon and Smashwords today, which will filter down to most major retailers in the next couple of days. I’ve also gotten it up on Gumroad, too! I’m overjoyed and relieved that my first solo 20,000+ word fiction piece is finally available for people to read and check out.

I sincerely do regret that this wasn’t ready for you to read around Halloween of last year. At least you now know the story behind my banner image of the two girls around the guy with the lamp. 🙂 Enjoy!

Congratulations! I’m reviewing an eBook today! It’s the first time I’m doing one, so let the good times roll. (Supreme Commander reference, though it may have come from somewhere else).

For March, I’m actually going to go with a theme this time around instead of random items. All are books, all are timeslip/time travel books. Good? Okay! For our first week, we’re going to take a peek at The Far Journey.

This was an eBook I bought on impulse (okay, not really impulse. But it wasn’t a thought-out, deliberated purchase) while looking for some satisfying time travel stories dealing with the Wild West. I didn’t hit my craving for people from the past ending up in modern times that night, but I found plenty of people ending up in the past. This seemed like more of the hands-on sensible types, so I gave it a go.

Hello all! Hope 2015 has gone well with you! We have a brand new year to look forward to. There are things to plan, things to do, things to accomplish.

As you know, I have a few publishing projects that I’m running simultaneously. I would like to announce the near completion of another work of fiction I’ve been working on. This project in particular is not co-authored; I’ve written this completely on my own rather than a collaborative effort. It’s also my first story in the horror genre.

Follow the story of three college kids getting wrapped up into a Civil-War themed Halloween masquerade. Before they know it, their outing takes a chilling turn for the worse as they find themselves at the doors of the Rotherwood Mansion. Together they must survive its horrors and solve the riddle to escape. The story is set in the real-life location of East Tennessee, playing off the urban legends of a famous haunted house.

This book is actually finished in writing, and has been going through an editing process since August of 2015. I’m hoping to have it up to the public in early spring.

Keep an eye out for it. 🙂

It’s been a long time coming, but my Michiko book has finally seen the light of day for publishing! Last touches were put on it this Sunday, and it hit Amazon’s Kindle market not too long after. Still going through announcements in all of my known channels with this joyous news.

Thought I’d drop in quickly and give you an official update on Michiko Bates and the progress it stands. I’ve been directing posts regarding art to go on the Tumblr periodically, but aside from the Kickstarter backers, haven’t really made an official statement in case something else gets majorly delayed. I think its safe to do so at this point.

Despite the Kickstarter failure, we still prodded on. Continued writing, continued drawing and whatever else. Now one year later, we’ve made a lot more headway that what we had originally planned. What had started out as a 40,000-50,000 word novel with 10 sketches turned out to be a 70,000 word novel with over 22 illustrations.

Last week Tanya and I were drumming up ideas on how to spice up the Kickstarter page to draw in more visitors. One of her suggestions was to give a snippet of the work to the crowd to read.

It didn’t sound bad. Cook up one of the completed chapters, throw in the illustration for it and allow the public to get a glimpse of this project that we’ve been laboring over for a year now. I promptly agreed and got it online for backers to read over the weekend.

Today I’m sharing that link with everyone so that the general public can preview this preview work. This chapter is in both MOBI and EPUB for both kinds of readers (Kindle & iPad/Nook). You may download them from the links below.

Hi guys.

I’ve been slow setting up my new site, I know. I didn’t even get to sit down the past two weekends and put what I want on it. But the e-mail’s up, and the domain’s up so you can come here at least. I think the biggest hair-puller was getting an image slideshow to work…

First thing’s first, I am moving forward with my first public publishing project, the Michiko Bates Chronicles. And I need your help. I’ve started a Kickstarter, and I would greatly appreciate the traffic and any support you can offer. Link is below. I only have about two and a half weeks left, and I’m finding out that my introvert ways and lack of social networks are biting me hard in the rear for outreaches like this. I also started a tumblr posting some of the images and such with the project, so follow that too.

That said, I’ll hopefully have this updated by the end of the month. I’ll be adding things daily and taking the time to do so. Please subscribe and keep a tab on things.

Night.
