While I normally stay up late, Mom asked if I could stay up later to help run the water. As in, no frozen pipes.
Good thing I did, because they were getting stopped up through the night. I rotated to doing it every hour instead of once before turning in, so I stayed up a lot later than expected.
I believe the temperature was only supposed to go to 5F, but it kept dropping after 3PM. By 6PM I was shocked that it was 1F.
Very few times has the temperature dropped that low. I know there’s always this period in January/February where the temperature usually makes it to 10F or so, sometimes even up to 8F. But when it gets to 0, that’s a rarity.
