Hi guys,

As the blog slowly gets back on track, I unveil a short-term project for this early part of summer to entertain you! I know a portion of my readers are gamers of some sort, and in a special project digging into my past, I’m releasing a set of interviews I did with a few game developers and artists from the 90’s and 2000’s.

Many of these guys are people who made the games I loved when I grew up. Some are obscure “shareware” games, some are other semi-popular titles you may recognize. A few are some modern developers that have forayed into the modern world making games. As I have moved on and seen little or no information about the people behind them, I made an effort myself to delve into the history of the people and the games they made.

You can consider it a partial historical preservation project, genuinely interested in the people who made these games. I uncover how game design was back in the day, what the average developer faced and the stories behind how these actual games were created and worked on.

My list of guests include:

  • John Hattan – The Code Zone (24 Games Pack)
  • Adam Pedersen – Jetpack
  • Chuck Sommerville – Chuck’s Challenge, Chip’s Challenge
  • Parley S. Neely – Lunar BBall, historical puzzle games
  • Petite Games (William) – Midnight, Destronauts, Wii Game Developer
  • Walk Bilofsky – Original founder of The Software Toolworks
  • Scott A. Murray – Missile Master developer
  • Shane Watson – Artist, Fantasy Flight games, Space Empires
  • Steven Hugg – Comet Busters
  • Petter Henrikson – ClusterTruck developer
  • Louis Carrozzi – Far Gate developer
  • Dan Froelich – Solar Winds & Jungle Jill musician

(List is subject to change based on availability)

Posts are uploaded every Saturday evening. I have most of these interviews done already, so its just a matter of scheduling.
So grab your coffee, a Windows 95 box and be prepared to head back down memory lane to a time when the Internet barely existed and mail-order games were the thing.

Okay, guys. First week of April is here, and I think I’m finally back on schedule. Last weekend’s blog serial will be posted on Monday and the second episode this upcoming Friday at its appointed time. I’m amassing content once again so this should flow smoothly.

In case you hadn’t picked it up, I’ll post the official schedule that I’m working with so you know what to count on:

  • Reviews = Mondays, 12PM: I do a report on a book, game, item or such and give you an opinion on it.
Storytime = Thursdays, 6 PM: I reach into my life experience and share a story of some sort with you.
Blog Serial = Fridays, 12PM: I pen a fictional story about Heather, a troubled, clingy and anxious girl who has a tendency to tangle with the paranormal. Set in the same universe as “Endless Sky” and after the main story.
Tutorials = TBA: I’ve been asked, told and been piling up some tutorials for various things in the last year. These are too hectic to post every week, so they will be posted once monthly. Have not decided on a date, but as soon as I finish one for posting I’ll let you know (and update this entry)
Other Topics = As Needed: There are smaller various topics I’ll post from time to time. Smaller fiction pieces, announcements, life happenings and so on. These are random and sporadic, not set to a firm schedule.

In other happenings, I’ll be looking into changing the template for my site at some point. I’ve had some users complain that the text is not enlargeable on an iPad and makes it hard to read, especially my blog serial. I’ll definitely be looking to resolve this so I don’t lose my reader base. I do listen to your suggestions!

After a long and stressful battle with attempting to get this edited and the delays with no results, I finally am at a point that I believe that I’m happy with it after doing what I should’ve done in the first place, edit it myself. With great joy I’m pleased to announce that The Haunting of Rotherwood was released onto Amazon and Smashwords today, which will filter down to most major retailers in the next couple of days. I’ve also gotten it up on Gumroad, too! I’m overjoyed and relieved that my first solo 20,000+ word fiction piece is finally available for people to read and check out.

I sincerely do regret that this wasn’t ready for you to read around Halloween of last year. At least you now know the story behind my banner image of the two girls around the guy with the lamp. 🙂 Enjoy!

Hey guys, hope your week is going well!

I’ve been working on this for a little bit, and I am now unveiling this for release. I’m starting a weekly blog serial that you guys can enjoy  – for free!

Set in the same universe/setting as “Voyage Across the Endless Sky”, the story follows after Heather, a young woman who’s had a painful background and is looking for someplace to plant her own two feet. Haunted by the nightmares of her past, she starts to grow close to the main character cast, primarily Elizabeth, Janus and Tau’mi. (A more detailed info page will be up within the week regarding character names and backgrounds, so keep an eye out for that!)

The series is variety, sometimes happy go lucky, sometimes horrific and spine-chilling. The story is more of a fiction piece similar to my Michiko Bates book, but each installment does feature an illustration in style of the Endless Sky storybook! That way you get the best of both worlds.

The first episode will unveil Friday Feb 5th, and will be released every Friday from then on. Each “story” lasts approximately 4 episodes, so each month brings a new tale.

Enjoy, and have a great week!

Hello all! Hope 2015 has gone well with you! We have a brand new year to look forward to. There are things to plan, things to do, things to accomplish.

As you know, I have a few publishing projects that I’m running simultaneously. I would like to announce the near completion of another work of fiction I’ve been working on. This project in particular is not co-authored; I’ve written this completely on my own rather than a collaborative effort. It’s also my first story in the horror genre.

Follow the story of three college kids getting wrapped up into a Civil-War themed Halloween masquerade. Before they know it, their outing takes a chilling turn for the worse as they find themselves at the doors of the Rotherwood Mansion. Together they must survive its horrors and solve the riddle to escape. The story is set in the real-life location of East Tennessee, playing off the urban legends of a famous haunted house.

This book is actually finished in writing, and has been going through an editing process since August of 2015. I’m hoping to have it up to the public in early spring.

Keep an eye out for it. 🙂

Hi guys.

I’ve been slow setting up my new site, I know. I didn’t even get to sit down the past two weekends and put what I want on it. But the e-mail’s up, and the domain’s up so you can come here at least. I think the biggest hair-puller was getting an image slideshow to work…

First thing’s first, I am moving forward with my first public publishing project, the Michiko Bates Chronicles. And I need your help. I’ve started a Kickstarter, and I would greatly appreciate the traffic and any support you can offer. Link is below. I only have about two and a half weeks left, and I’m finding out that my introvert ways and lack of social networks are biting me hard in the rear for outreaches like this. I also started a tumblr posting some of the images and such with the project, so follow that too.

That said, I’ll hopefully have this updated by the end of the month. I’ll be adding things daily and taking the time to do so. Please subscribe and keep a tab on things.

Night.
