I decided to make my own philly cheesesteak recently, considering that it’s hard to get sandwiches or the like where I live. I used this guy’s recipe, minus the worcestershire sauce as I didn’t have any on hand. I also did have to use smaller bread because of the pandemic.

 

It came out pretty tasty, and got to add two different varieties of cheese and mushrooms. My cousin’s fiance approved as well. I’ll need to make these again sometime.

First dinner I had in my new office today; while it’s not much, it was nicely put together. I have a hunk of fried egg on the side, mixed with some non-mushy rice, stirred up with some onions and spinach. This was a small saucer plate to show how light it was; still, it was very savory and I loved it.

I went out with a connection of mine, meeting them in Johnson City to just get my mind off of some nonsense that was going at. We were originally going to go to an Indian restaurant, but they were doing that “siesta” thing where they close between lunch and dinner. So we ended up at Ryans’ instead.

 

I think near the end of us eating, I just wanted to top off so I made a face out of my food. She certainly got a kick out of it. Now if they’d have onion rings more often…

As far as I know, this was the first time I actually started taking pictures of my food. It wasn’t something I did very often then, but more as a historical kind of documenting moment. I don’t have a lot of photos showing what I did in my teen years, so anything that exists is almost a big peek into my past; even if it’s an insignificant thing as what I ate.

 

Here, we have fried chicken, mac and cheese and a cup of water. Usually paid about $2 for all of this, and bought it during my 15-minute break. The only time I wouldn’t buy this is if the deli was closed, which was after 5PM. In that case I’d revert back to candy or something else.
