I came away with a lot of things from my ETSU experience. Some of these were negative and things I battle to this day, and a few were good things that has immensely helped me or changed my outlook on life. This is one of the latter.

As shut-in as it sounded, I never was aware or had the concept of a computer running more than one monitor. All the time in Walters State’s PC labs or my own computers, I’ve always seen one PC tower to one monitor. It didn’t help that there was only one display port on the back, either. When I had gotten my “last” Millenium project back in 2007, I was introduced to more than one display port on a computer; the DVI port. Still I only had one monitor to use with this. It wasn’t like I was curious to plug in two monitors like I would’ve done five years from that date.

While I was heading out one day from DIGM classes, I noticed one of the computers had this typed into the DOS prompt. Looks like someone had a crack at a terminal joke while the computer was being wiped with Norton Ghost!

While I didn’t get to grab another photo of it, it stayed like that for another couple days. So the joke was around for a bit.

Well, from seeing all those shows on TV, I never thought I’d see this happen. I got stuck inside when the doors failed to open on the second floor. Then the emergency key wasn’t inside, and the emergency info led to the campus security.

So my sister and I were stuck there for about 30-40 minutes until they got it open. The fire department were the ones who ultimate had to force the doors open. At least we weren’t stuck halfway or something.

It’s only recently I’ve started to take pictures of the markerboards in the DIGM lab. I’ll definitely be doing more of these, as there’s a lot of interesting things to be seen here.

While I was gone for a few days, I had left a rough doodle of the Tomcatters squadron. When I came back, I was greeted by all this nonsense. Most of them are people complaining about render times, but there’s a Dalek and a few other things mixed in there. You’ll even see a Reddit upvote/downvote arrow there.

Do enjoy.

Decided to poke around with the Cintiq tablets in my classroom today. This was the result! I LOVE these things.

So I had a concept of what I was going to do for my Vector project, so I had to spend some time sketching out some stuff. I decided to do a vector of a spaceship flaming through space; realizing how spot on the tablets were, I decided to give doodle drawings a shot.

The result was a Sheena, Yukari and Ling Ling all going googly eyes at the pretty spaceship. Hence the name of the post, which roughly translates to “Ooooh, a beautiful space battleship!”

Word can’t quite describe what’s going through my head at the moment; I’m finally moving to somewhere else to go to ETSU! Definitely uncertain territory I’m heading into, but I’m also eager and excited. At least I’ll know some familiar faces up there, as my cousin and sister will be attending. Too bad I don’t have a roommate, though.

As I still have two more whole months till school stars, the process will be slow and drawn-out in between of work. But the process has begun, nonetheless. It’s official; I have another place than the rural country backwoods of Parrottsville to call home, even if its for a little while.
