This was the first major comic project I worked on. The 1900s, watercolor aesthetic matched the story pretty well, and I was directed to keep it simpler as if it was printed back in the era.
Blood and Mortar was unfortunately rejected by the publisher for the work presented, citing that they wanted a full comic book in hand before proceeding further. The project never went beyond this stage.
