This was my last day of work today. While helping organize stuff in the shift, I put together this wooden block tower out of the space blocks that are used to pad the brackets. A guy on the other line tried to knock it over with a block he threw (which it resisted) and even the forklift guy tried to shake up the cage to make it fall down (which it only fell down partially!). Most of the folks there had a good laugh out of it, so there’s that.
ETSU, here I come.

As my time was winding down at my factory job, I was starting to spend weekends and occasional nights at my apartment to get the feel of what it’d be like living there. This was one of those times. While plodding away at the computer, randomly decided to pose my Sheena and Zelda figurines together and snap this.
One evening while I was at my apartment, I decided to have a chat with my sister on Skype, listening to her trying to write some fiction. Some villainous character of hers was supposed to make a resurgence but it was failing spectacularly. He was made akin to the “Phoenix”, as he was supposed to make such a comeback having been defeated.
As you can see my mind sometimes goes off in different directions. I visualized this occurrence as such, and sent the doodle over. I don’t recall how exactly it was received, but the effort was noted, nonetheless.
Some more bagging of fan merchandise while scrounging eBay. This is the version of Ruri from the Prince of Darkness movie, and I really liked it because she had this mature, collected version of herself. But at the same time, she had that sliver of curiosity and longing for her friends that she had from the first anime.
I know about the character a bit, to say the least. She’ll definitely be heading off with the rest of my stuff in my final move to ETSU.
Thanks to a tad bit of surplus with my new job, I decided to hunt down some fan merchandise on my favorite anime besides Gundam, Martian Battleship Nadesico! I had found this silk-screen poster about a week ago, and was just surprised that someone in the US had it (most of the Nadesico stuff I see is overseas). Ruri-chan arrived in one piece and now sits on my bedroom wall, and belongs quite nicely to the decor!
I also was excited about this a bit, as this was my first silk screen poster at all. So go me, I guess.
Sorry it’s not much to look at, but I’m finally here. Time to make this place home, I guess. But I have to vacuum first. You know, making sure the place is clean and all that.
Just pulled over in Greeneville for a moment while heading over to my new place, as my temperature gauge started to go up all of a sudden. I have no idea why; thankfully it started to settle back to normal once I got to driving over 55 mph on 11-E. I’ll need to check the coolant level upon touchdown, but I have a feeling something else is going on here.
Word can’t quite describe what’s going through my head at the moment; I’m finally moving to somewhere else to go to ETSU! Definitely uncertain territory I’m heading into, but I’m also eager and excited. At least I’ll know some familiar faces up there, as my cousin and sister will be attending. Too bad I don’t have a roommate, though.
As I still have two more whole months till school stars, the process will be slow and drawn-out in between of work. But the process has begun, nonetheless. It’s official; I have another place than the rural country backwoods of Parrottsville to call home, even if its for a little while.
Random nonsense I did on my tablet one evening for Anna, someone I had met back from Animazement 2008. We were both Touhou fans at the time and I decided to indulge her over AIM one evening with my rendition of how Suika typically acted. Don’t think I was too far off.
While heading out this afternoon, my brother and I had the exact same bug on our iPod Touch. We’d flip it horizontally, but when we stood it back up, the bar would stay on the long side of the screen. I found it extremely funny that the exact same thing happened, at the same time doing the same thing. Hopefully you found it as well.
