New England Hauntings – Art Process Video
This is the art process video for New England Hauntings, which Christina and I worked on earlier this year. Nothing too much to say about this, although I’m getting the hang of putting these together.

This was a character I drew in my old style, for u/concerned_squirtle during a Reddit request thread. While I did some initial doodles for him, I picked one of those and did this as a full scene, which even included an art process video. Definitely enjoyed working on this one.
This is a birthday gift to wayc, my online buddy who basically I’ve known for quite a bit. I drew him an assortment of characters, from my Kashri girls he likes, a snarky dolphin and Giga Mermaid from the Shantae games. All the dialogue is in-jokes based on what we talk about, so if nothing quite makes sense, don’t worry too much about it.
Suffice to say he was thrilled.
This is a silly and long-promised doodle for the peeps over at Mobius PvE, with one of the head admin’s cat. There was a joke about the cat being the actual boss, and having his own personal Cobra Mk. 3 to fly around on and get things in the house.
While I did let it sit a bit longer than I linked, I’m glad with the final result. Apparently drawing a cat on a spaceship does turn some heads.
When people ask me what I do to relax to sleep or get in the mood for writing, they’re often shocked when they hear my response. Most likely because they don’t hear me say I need to lock myself in a corner of a room with a blanket, or whatever a typical introvert would say.
Apparently going out into public to write is such a big shocker.
So when I visited my cousin who graduated from UT earlier today, we all went out to go eat at Bombay Palace. I actually forgot that I’ve not been here in a few years; I do clearly remember visiting here when I graduated from ETSU myself in 2013. I guess it’s a hotspot for graduation families to visit.
Aside from whatever was in the buffet, I had a side of fried chicken pakora. This was real tasty and I think came out better than Sahib’s in Johnson City. I pretty much equate the taste to pholourie batter on fried chicken. On top of that, there’s a tamarind sweet sauce they give you, which is almost like honey mustard in taste; that complemented it real well.
Give it a shot when you get the chance.
You can always say I can’t sit down in one place for a long time, in terms of months and years. Sure, I may have called East Tennessee home for so most of my life, but it’s especially bothers me in the spring. And these past few years particularly, it’s not been that different.
It could be a ton of things that give me that feeling. Daylight Savings Time ending, the sudden warm temperatures; or the deja vu I get at waking up early and feeling I should be waking up in a hotel or rest area instead of my bedroom.
I’m pretty picky about my free art I give out nowadays, but I did one over on Reddit recently, and had a ton of fun with it! I drew u/anniemariee1 as a villager from Ellowwood, complete with some plants and her pet leopard gecko Rollo. She really liked it, so that made my day so far!
On deviantART I was running a short offer to draw people’s sculptures with my character Egghead Girl, for free. One dude by the name of BassoeG took me up on my offer and asked me to draw some of his sculpted works. I was glad to, and I gave him two pieces.
This is the 2nd of those two pieces, with his Gastropod Brazier Candle. This was more fun to draw as I had a larger object to draw in relation to Egghead Girl, and it had some different texturing that I got to add. I also went a bit more open with Egghead Girl’s attitude, letting her do a more showy pose alongside it (varied pose, hiked skirts, etc).
Overall this was a fun thing to work on, and I’d love to give more sculptures from other artists this treatments if they’re willing to give me a shot.

This is the first of the two, with Egghead girl posing with this ceramic work known as Castle Molar. It’s pretty much a ceramic glazed castle with the towers looking like teeth more or less. You can check it out in the hyperlinked name earlier.
I’ll post the 2nd one tomorrow.
