I ran with Dad to Knoxville to help take care of an errand. On the way back, the severe weather due that day finally hit while crossing the French Broad River. By the time we reached Newport, the snow was falling quite quickly.

The individual flakes are hard to see as we’re blowing past them here, but they were clogging up the horizon if you look towards where the river was. Visibility had already started to decrease.

I got the vibe of a plane heading into heavy weather, swapping to rely on instruments. As this was a non car as well (Ford Econoline), that feeling got driven home even more.
