I got on a kick of listening to Synesthesics these past few days, and after hearing his NFS remixes, pumped this out. Your favorite blonde New Yorker/Notikan priestess takes to the road in a Lamborghini Aventador. I originally was just going to do her and nothing else, but this morphed into a full scene pretty quickly.

My life’s been changed a little bit, and I’m a bit more busy than usual this month. I’m starting to draw a bit different now, and tonight after being moved by Ori and Will of the Wisps, decided to do a piece on Ku. It was a real cute character to work on, and even got me a Reddit Silver badge. Slowly but surely, I’m getting there.

This was a charcoal study we did in class today; the point of it was to get used to the drawing properties of charcoal and how to use them on mediums. The teacher took a bunch of random wood blocks, dumping them onto a table and having us draw still life. It was actually real fun, and it was great to take my mind off stuff like other classes I was going through at the time.

 

I’ll have to figure out how to scan this. While it does fit on a flatbed to a degree, the charcoal is quite smudgy and leaves a mess. Maybe a high definition photo sometime?
