Blood and Mortar was a comic project that Paul Axel had tried to pitch to various comic book houses, featuring a mystery story in an alternate history of Chicago in the early 20th century. I was appointed as the primary colorist for the project, and told to give it life in a watercolor-like style akin to similar works in that vein.
I only got to work on the pitch package for this publication. So far no houses have picked it up for print. If the project is ever accepted, I’m still slotted to do the rest of the pages. Hopefully I’ll be able to work on another big project like this down the line, and it gets to see the light of day.
