Took this a short bit ago, this mushroom had sprouted randomly in the yard next to the shed. Dad didn’t mow it over, letting me look at it first.
I can say with certainty I’ve not seen a mushroom this big, especially close to the house. I definitely think it’s in the Amanita category; while it’s not the color, the 2nd biggest mushroom on the property was an Amanita of some sort, and has the same patching on top. So fairly accurate in the ID, I think.
I’m heading out to NYC for awhile, and definitely plan to snag you some interesting photos if not stories for you guys. In my absence, enjoy this piece in the meantime. I’ve always joked about sticking someone with older-fashioned clothes in a car for a road trip, so I’m glad to finally properly get this illustrated.

After two rude people at Staples and looking for a copy printer, I finally got the gift art for Anjali Bhilmani’s appearance at Fanboy Expo done! So now I have to wait to meet her this weekend. Fingers crossed she’ll like it.

This was certainly a surprise. If you remember my last post here, I had done a piece for Moon Studio’s #OriValentine giveaway. Turns out I actually won a prize! They sent it out in the mail for me, which arrived a short bit ago.
Until I got these, I had no idea merchandising for this game was really a thing. Stuff’s pretty cool; snazzy pin, little napkin packet and a spiffy journal. Mom actually likes this journal a whole lot, and likes the character art on the front!
I also got my name listed on their site, which is also pretty amazing. A big thank you to you guys, I’m glad you liked my doodle of Ori going giddy over coffee.
It’s short, but just a shoutout that I’m alive and doing well. Hope everyone had a great holiday season! This is just a nutshell in what I’m planning to do this year.
With my computer and room belongings packed away, I needed a proper workstation to work on while the house was being built. So I’m here with my mom’s computer for now; a good amount of the accessories were parts from my old Alienware rig, or gaming things I did buy her to soup up her PC (like the Death Adder Chroma mouse). She still could use a better graphics card, so I’ll have to fix that for her one day when I get back on my feet.
It’s not the best place to be in life right now, but I can at least do work in the meantime. And it’s air-conditioned, thank goodness.
With me being displaced and all, I had a short blessing of getting my computer equipment put with high-speed Internet! The problem? It’s a whole another town away to drive to if I want to use it.
This is the first time I’ve ever had a Jeep’s temperature senor tell me it was below freezing. And not even 30 or such. A freaking 26! I believe I was able to one-up a friend’s friend on Facebook with this photo, who was complaining later how “45 was too cold”. Ha. The New Jersey side of me laughs at you.
I’m totally enjoying this game, great thanks to my brother to getting it for me. We tend to make a formidable team for the most part. This particular ending screen I grabbed was just perfect, victory poses and all. Not only is because my brother is to the right, it’s also because we were both support doing our thing.
Was a bit on the fence with this, but as soon as saw what kind of game, I was “Why the heck not?” So here goes my weekend to playing Abzu. Let’s see what this interesting game holds!
