2019

Inktober 2019 – #17 Ornament

For today’s prompt, I was thinking about a fall festival for some reason (probably because of storywriting). So I went with a fall wreath, food and some gourds. Pumpkins and squash especially give me autumn vibes, and I enjoy growing them when able. This might be another one I end up coloring as well.

Inktober 2019 – #16 Wild

For today’s prompt, Horizon Dawn Zero came to mind. I didn’t feel impressed to draw Aloy however; so I just drew an atypical resident in a regrown Earth looking out into the expanse.

Inktober 2019 – #15 Legend

I decided to draw a “hero”, half Renaissance, half DnD themed. The latter especially, as I am getting geared up for my first game soon! So a bearded swordsman was all that was in my head. Fancy.

Inktober 2019 – #14 Overgrown

For today’s prompt, our old shed when I was younger came to mind, back when I was young. While we did clear the foliage later, we also did tear down the shed as it became abandoned for a bit. I did take some liberties with the design as I don’t quite remember what it looked like at the time.

Inktober 2019 – #12 Dragon

This was a bit tricky for me, but I decided to try to do a more traditional DnD kind of dragon. I think a goal next year would to be practicing drawing more animals, it would seem!

Inktober 2019 – #11 Snow

For Snow, I had the idea of drawing a female Cossack trudging through the snow. Big hat and all. It’s not *too* far off from drawing my Notikans, so this came quite naturally.

Inktober 2019 – #10 Pattern

This was actually a bit tricky to come up with an idea, but I was drawing wayc’s story concepts at the time; I got the brilliant idea to show the pattern of Ki’voosh’s dress for the prompt.

So here it is! A lot of people really liked the texture, and it probably would look interesting if it got printed in real life, admittedly.

Inktober 2019 – #9 Swing

For Swing, the first thing that came to mind was an old playset that we had when I was little. It was a hand-me-down, and had two plastic swings on small-grade chain that one could sit on. I don’t quite remember the exact design, but what I depicted was the best I remembered it. Except for a homemade swing a few years after, we never really had any more such things afterwards.

Inktober 2019 – #8 Frail

For Frail, the first thing that came to mind was the baby cowbird I raised in 2008. The thing was real small and weak, and I became quite attached to it as it grew. It felt odd because at the time the pets we had never really wanted to be around me, and this hatchling would stay close and always be looking at me. So I think it the theme.
