This took a while to get realized, but I finally got this put together after this meme was passing around on 9GAG. Also apparently some other people carry on the same commentary as well, since all you do is stand, point and click.

However far it goes, at least it’s been visualized! Also was fun to do the obnoxious cover in style with those 90’s games. A lot of Cluefinders and those types of stuff I drew inspiration from.

After a big hiatus, I started doing Keymailer stuff again, and am slowly digging through my queue. What prompted this? Alex from Isolated Games, who wanted me to check out their game Between the Stars. Looks pretty spiffy so far! This game had a successful Kickstarter; while that may be over, you’re more than welcome to give them additional support when the game comes out!

I’ve been drawing for quite a long time. I sadly can’t say I’ve been drawing for most of my entire life, but it’s safe to say I’ve been drawing for 1/3rd if not more of it.

As described in my previous story about deviantART, my art skills didn’t really take off until I had access to the platform. A couple of years before that I had taken a short three-week special course at Walters State in a summer drawing class. That helped up my skills a whole bunch over my pre-teen drawings. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible, either.

Something I threw together for a Facebook friend, as today is their birthday. Originally it was just going to be the cake, but while on a tangent I decided to just draw the new Doctor in a more retro outfit. I’ve never really watched or seen the new Doctor Who series after Matt Smith, and this is how I envisioned the new Doctor to be in a way. A sort of clean and trim Victorian kind of style. I did retain a version of her jacket, though.

I dug into my backlog and decided to put up another part from one of my previous game playthroughs. I know its ages and I apologize, I’ve barely recorded or even done any recent videos this year. Work has been my previous focus and it’s easier to do comics since that only takes an hour or more to make a week.

Still, enjoy. This is my brother and I going through the Destiny 2 campaign. We finally hit Io at this point and encounter the taken. Spooky stuff.

I don’t quite remember exactly when I grabbed this book. It would’ve been sometime at the beginning of 2015; I was looking for fiction that specifically was centered around mushrooms. That may sound a little off-kilter, but I have a fascination with fungi, especially using them in written work. They’re interesting as a subject matter, truth be told.

Anyway, aside from two eBooks I had found, The Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom Planet popped up on Page 1 of searching. Unlike most of the “guides” that were popping up, this was clearly fiction. And it seemed to be aimed at a younger audience, so that won points with me as well. Lastly the idea of a “mushroom planet” did appeal to me, so I now naturally curious about the world inside the book.

I added it to my cart and waited for it to arrive. Arrive it did. Admittedly I didn’t read it right away, but when I finally got around to it, I was glad I did.

Our story begins…

Yesterday artist raikoart jumped on board the #drawthisinyourstyle challenge. Basically you draw a given character in your own style when they use the hashtag. As people loved his sci-fi secret agent Tess, raikoart decided to call out and see who’d be up to the challenger with her:

I answered the call and did Tess as best as I could, in my most common styles. I mostly was light-hearted in my approach, even referencing a mischievous Orthin from Stars in Shadow hiding from Tess in the webcomic panel, having stolen a bunch of Snickers (another running joke with the character).

Author’s Note: This article was written two weeks after this event took place in mid-December of 2016. After my situation in 2017, it got lost and neglected. When I restarted content earlier this year, a chain of events had taken place with the venue the previous season (2017), and I highly debated even posting my experience due to those events. Nevertheless, I’ll share as you can always count on me to. This is about my trip to the con at the time, not the drama and incidents that happened afterwards. It’s neither biased or reflects what I currently think of the venue.

I’ve done minor edits on this article to bring it current (specifically its ending), but it remains virtually unchanged from its 2016 version.

It’s been about seven years since I went to an anime convention of any sort. Animazement 2009 being my last stint of cosplay, hanging out at a convention and going to someplace of that sort with “friends”. It’s not something I really care to talk about, always telling myself that I’ll go one day and I’ll have the right people around me.
